La Fuerza Aérea del Perú (FAP) informó que, durante la tarde de este martes, se interrumpió la comunicación con una de sus aeronaves mientras realizaba un ejercicio de navegación táctica en la zona de Pisco.
Se trata de una aeronave modelo KT-1P, asignada al Grupo Aéreo N.º 51, cuya última señal fue registrada alrededor de las 16:08 horas, cuando se aproximaba a la isla Zárate. De acuerdo con el itinerario establecido, la operación debía concluir a las 16:25 horas.
Tras la pérdida de contacto, la institución activó de inmediato el sistema SAR (Search and Rescue, por sus siglas en inglés), en cumplimiento de los protocolos de seguridad establecidos para este tipo de situaciones.
La FAP ha asegurado que las operaciones se realizan bajo supervisión permanente y que se continuará informando oportunamente a través de sus canales oficiales conforme se confirmen nuevos datos.
