El presidente de Estados Unidos, Donald Trump, dio este lunes 50 días a Rusia para poner fin a la guerra en Ucrania o exponerse a más sanciones, a la vez que anunció el envío de una gran cantidad de armas a Kiev a través de la OTAN.
«Estamos muy, muy descontentos» con Rusia, declaró Trump a los periodistas durante una reunión con el jefe de la OTAN, Mark Rutte, en la Casa Blanca.
«Vamos a aplicar aranceles muy duros si no llegamos a un acuerdo en 50 días, aranceles de aproximadamente el 100%», añadió.
Asimismo, Donald Trump y Rutte revelaron los términos de un acuerdo en virtud del cual la alianza militar de la OTAN compraría armas a EE.UU., incluidas baterías antimisiles Patriot, y luego las suministraría a Ucrania.
«Se comprará miles de millones de dólares en equipo militar a Estados Unidos, que se destinará a la OTAN (…) y se distribuirá rápidamente en el campo de batalla», afirmó el dignatario republicano
